JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Processing Inventory Technician is responsible for controlling work-in-progress inventory for the Processing Department. They will keep an active daily log of how much inventory is stored in all secure storage areas. The Processing Inventory Technician will be the controller of incoming and outgoing product for bucking, trimming, qc, machine technicians, and data technicians. They will keep secure storage areas organized for first in first out flow of product. They will also keep an accurate data sheet of product available at any given time by doing daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts. Audit inventory.
JOB DUTIES
Be the contact person for anyone going in or out of the secure storage area
Track entries into WIP area
Monitor production and feed leads and machine technicians WIP product
Update pre-allocation spreadsheet
Daily inventory cycle counts of product worked on that day
Weekly inventory cycle counts of product worked on during the week.
Monthly blink cycle counts
Audit inaccurate inventory and report necessary adjustments to Processing Supervisor who sign off on changes over 3% of the original weight.
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
Experience utilizing computer software.
Experience utilizing Metrc software.
Demonstrates the ability to pay very close attention to detail and immediately notice any discrepancies regarding inventory.
Shows the ability to solve complex problems individually and quickly.
Must be able to communicate well with others in order to implement inventory control plans.
Demonstrates the ability to work well with computers and maintain databases effectively.
Shows professionalism, particularly when working with others within the department and other departments.
Possesses strong written communication skills for the creation of reports.
Demonstrate ability to adapt to using new computer software.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Must be a self-starter with minimal supervision, able to work independently and in a team environment.
This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week.
Willingness to work weekends, if necessary.
MENTAL/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in conditions typically found in a warehouse with high humidity and varying temperatures, with a fair amount of moisture present.
Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time as job duties require.
Ability to stare at a computer screen for long periods of time.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Strong Excel skills necessary (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills.
