Our Mission

NugWork exists to give the legal cannabis industry what it has always deserved: a dedicated space where job seekers and employers can connect without the friction of navigating platforms that were never built with cannabis in mind.

Where It Came From

NugWork was built by its sole founder, a software engineer specializing in Agricultural Technology with a genuine passion for the cannabis space. The idea came directly from lived experience: while searching for cannabis tech roles, the process was exhausting. Listings were buried across dozens of generic job boards, scattered across online threads and company websites, and constantly overshadowed by industries that get preferential treatment on platforms that aren't sure what to do with cannabis.

The cannabis industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the country, and yet finding a job in it felt like a scavenger hunt. That gap was too obvious to ignore, so NugWork was built to close it.

A Note on the Legal Landscape

Cannabis legality in the United States is a patchwork - legal for adult use in some states, medical-only in others, and still prohibited in many. This ambiguity has caused major general-purpose job platforms to keep cannabis companies at arm's length, limiting visibility and making it harder for legitimate businesses to hire.
