Field Marketing Manager - NYC

Our client, a leader in the cannabis industry, is seeking an experienced and motivated Field Marketing Manager to oversee field marketing initiatives throughout the New York City market. This role will be responsible for managing and supporting the field marketing team, coordinating brand activations and events, and ensuring consistent execution of marketing initiatives across the territory.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is highly organized, relationship-driven, and comfortable balancing team management with hands-on field execution. This individual will play an important role in increasing brand awareness, strengthening retail relationships, and ensuring successful execution of events, activations, and promotional initiatives.
This role will primarily support the NYC/Queens area and surrounding markets. A RELIABLE CAR IS REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following, but other duties may be assigned:
- Manage, train, schedule, and support a team of Field Marketing Representatives/Brand Ambassadors throughout the NYC market.
- Oversee the planning and execution of field marketing initiatives, including dispensary activations, promotional events, trade shows, industry events, and other brand-building opportunities.
- Develop weekly and monthly field marketing schedules based on market priorities and business needs.
- Ensure field team members are properly prepared with product knowledge, marketing materials, and clear expectations for each activation.
- Conduct regular market visits to support the field team and ensure activations are being executed according to brand standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dispensary partners, retailers, event organizers, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and product visibility.
- Coordinate event and activation logistics, including staffing, promotional materials, product education, setup, and breakdown.
- Track field marketing activity, team performance, event results, customer engagement, and other key performance indicators.
- Provide regular reporting and feedback on field activity, market trends, retailer feedback, and competitor activity.
- Manage field marketing materials, promotional inventory, and event supplies.
- Identify opportunities to improve field marketing strategy, team performance, and overall market presence.
- Address scheduling, staffing, or operational issues as they arise and ensure events and activations run smoothly.
- Stay current on cannabis industry trends, competitive activity, and field marketing best practices.
- Ensure all field marketing activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and applicable cannabis regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in field marketing, experiential marketing, events, brand activation, or a similar role.
- Previous management or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing Brand Ambassadors, Field Marketing Representatives, promotional teams, or event staff is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple events, employees, and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience building relationships with retail partners and external stakeholders.
- Cannabis, CPG, beverage, lifestyle, or other highly regulated industry experience is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events as needed.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout NYC and surrounding areas.
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify market opportunities and recommend ways to strengthen brand awareness and field presence.
- Results Orientation: Focused on driving successful activations, team performance, consumer engagement, and measurable field marketing results.
Compensation for this role will be based on experience, work location, and other factors. Candidates must be at least 21 years old. We are not sponsoring Visas at this time. Must be able to legally work in the United States. Candidates will need to provide documentation verifying identity and legal work authorization within 3 business days.
