About the Opportunity
Our client is a premier cannabis organization backed by an experienced team of operators across cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail. We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cultivation Technician . This is a hands-on role supporting the full cultivation and post-harvest process and is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in quality, and can thrive in a highly regulated environment.
What You'll Do
- Plant Care & Maintenance: Provide daily care for cannabis plants, including watering, pruning, trimming, and general plant maintenance.
- Plant Health Monitoring: Regularly inspect plants and growing areas to identify potential health or quality concerns.
- Harvest Support: Participate in all stages of the harvest process, including harvesting, offloading plant material, and cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
- Post-Harvest Processing: Assist with hanging, drying, curing, destemming, trimming, and preparing cannabis material for the next stage of production.
- Cannabis Waste Management: Assist with the proper handling, milling, destruction, documentation, and disposal of cannabis waste in accordance with Massachusetts regulations and company SOPs.
- Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintain a clean and compliant cultivation environment through routine cleaning and sanitization of grow rooms, workspaces, tools, and equipment.
- Weighing & Documentation: Accurately weigh, record, and track cannabis materials throughout cultivation and post-harvest processes.
- Compliance: Follow all company SOPs, safety procedures, and applicable Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission requirements.
- Perform additional cultivation and facility duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to regularly lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced cultivation environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional and respectful attitude.
- Previous cannabis cultivation, agriculture, horticulture, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred but not required.
- At least one year of cannabis cultivation experience is a plus.
Massachusetts Cannabis Employment Requirements
Because this position involves working within a licensed Massachusetts cannabis facility, candidates must meet the requirements to become a Massachusetts Marijuana Establishment Agent , including:
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Be eligible for registration with the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC).
- Successfully complete the required background/CORI screening and suitability review.
- Must not have a disqualifying conviction involving the distribution of controlled substances to minors.
- Provide the identification and personal information required for Marijuana Establishment Agent registration.
- Be determined suitable for registration under applicable Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regulations.
- Complete any required facility, compliance, safety, and responsible cannabis training prior to or during employment.
- Maintain eligibility and suitability to work in a licensed Massachusetts cannabis establishment throughout employment.
Candidates must be able to satisfy all applicable Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission requirements before performing regulated cannabis job functions.
