Verano is seeking a Director of Government Affairs to lead our political and regulatory strategy. Shape cannabis policy at the state and federal level to support business growth.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute government affairs strategy across multiple states

- Build and maintain relationships with elected officials and regulators

- Monitor and analyze cannabis legislation and regulatory changes

- Represent the company at industry associations and policy forums

- Coordinate with legal team on regulatory strategy

- Prepare testimony and policy position papers

Requirements:

- 7+ years government affairs or public policy experience

- Cannabis industry or regulated industry experience

- Established political network in key cannabis markets

- Strong understanding of cannabis regulatory landscape

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- JD, MPA, or related advanced degree preferred
